Kira Woodfield-Leeper is a dedicated arts administrator with a strong commitment to enhancing arts accessibility and education. With extensive experience across various roles, she currently serves as Operations Manager for Arts Capacity, where she plays a crucial role in advancing the organization’s mission. As the first employee to join the Arts Capacity team in 2019, Kira has been instrumental in its growth. Her passion for arts education is also evident through her work as an Oboe Private Lesson Teacher in multiple school districts across Texas and Michigan for the past decade.
Previously, Kira held the position of Director of Education & Community Engagement at the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra. In this role, she successfully oversaw and expanded the department’s 13 programs, fostering meaningful community partnerships and streamlining processes to increase program utilization.
Kira’s diverse background in both administrative and educational roles underscores her dedication to making the arts more accessible and impactful for all. Working with Arts Capacity has allowed Kira to merge her expertise. The two-way interaction fostered by Arts Capacity’s programming offers a beautiful template for how the arts can impact both creator and audience collaboratively—a work in which Kira is passionately engaged.
